The Academy is a 3,200 sq. ft. facility featuring the following, giving students the unique experience of learning hands-on techniques in a working laboratory:

  • State-of-the-art teaching lab equipped with modern instrumentation used in DNA and Protein workflows.
  • DNA sequencing lab, including Illumnia MiSeq, Advanced Analytical Fragment Analyzer, and Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 3 qPCR Instrument.
  • Tissue and cell culture lab containing two biosafety cabinets, two inverted microscopes, automated cell counter, and CO2 incubators.
