Volunteer

Neil Glickstein began his teaching career as an instructor of college chemistry. Since then, he has had an array of teaching positions including in both alternative and traditional classrooms, ashore and aboard schooners, with students from third grade to graduate school. Before retiring, he was the supervisor for science internships at Endicott College. Since 2018, he has been a volunteer at the Gloucester Biotechnology Academy. Born a landlubber in upstate New York, his passion became the ocean world with research work in marine toxicology and aquaculture.  He lives in Gloucester with his partner, Barbara, with whom he kayaks, cycles and swims. He is a certified diver and gets great pleasure from underwater photography.

Neil has a B.S. in chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Northeastern University and an M.S. in Marine Biology from San Francisco State University and Moss Landing Marine Laboratories.
